Blue Mountains 2 Day Camino Training Walk
self-guided walk which mimics the type of walking experience you have on an actual Camino in Spain

Please note this is a self guided walk and not part of any formal club or festival activity. It is up to you to arrange walking companions, notify others of your intentions and practice responsible bush walking. You will need to ensure you have sufficient food and water and sun protection, plus cater for mountain conditions.
Having stated that, it is nonetheless a great Camino-like experience if you choose.
We suggest the following:
Thursday morning, 22 Feb 2018 (Woodford to Wentworth Falls) approx. 14km – further to popup albergue
People will be gathering at the Woodford Train station at 9am and planning to start walking around 9.15. Here is an opportunity to find other Camino walkers to share information with and perhaps walk together. There will be a ‘local’ who will be able to describe the conditions and help with the maps, the route and ideas on where to stop. It is a good idea to exchange mobile phone numbers with others so that you can arrange meeting points and have a backup in case you need assistance.
Friday Morning, 23 Feb 2018 (Wentworth Falls to Blackheath) approx. 18km
People will be gathering at the Wentworth Falls Train station at 8am and planning to start walking around 8.15. Here is an opportunity to find other Camino walkers to share information with and perhaps walk together. There will be a ‘local’ who will be able to describe the conditions and help with the maps, the route and ideas on where to stop. It is a good idea to exchange mobile phone numbers with others so that you can arrange meeting points and have a backup in case you need assistance.
For those walkers who will be staying at the Wentworth Falls Popup Albergue, there will be an en-route meetup suggested in Leura. (book this accommodation separately)
